Foreign Language Placement

Face mask may be required during the check in process. If you do not have one, you may not be allowed to test.

The Foreign Language Placement exams are administered by Testing and Disability Services for the Department of English and Foreign Languages at Augusta University. The test measures listening and reading comprehension for German, French and Spanish languages.

This test is recommended for students who wish to pursue majors or minors in these languages. Test takers must be current students or applicants to take the placement exam.

This exam is done by appointment only if the student is unable to take exam online via D2L Respondus Lockdown Browser. Test takers must have their photo identification with them when they show up for testing.

Due to recent events, the Office of Testing and Disability Services will now allow students to take all Foreign Language Placement exams online. Please refer to the instructions below to gain access.

Students taking the Foreign Language Placement exam can scan and email our office a [SECURE] email as well as a completed copy of the Foreign Language Placement Exam Guidelines (below) to from your AU email. The Student will then be added to the exam.
