DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST)

DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST) registrations are available in Testing and Disability Services. Students who wish to take DSST must do the following:

  • Complete a DSST Registration form in Testing and Disability Services
  • Pay $20.00 registration fee (cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card) for non-military test-takers. Registration payments are accepted by mail, but must be paid before the registration deadline. Please make checks/money orders payable to Augusta University or Augusta University.

  • Pay $100 on the day of the test (Credit Card required).
  • Recommended for credit by the American Council on Education (ACE), there are 38 subject level exams offered in disciplines and cover upper and lower-level baccalaureate credit courses.

If you have previously taken a DSST test, you cannot retake the test until you have completed a waiting period of six months. For information regarding tests offered by DSST and course descriptions, please visit the following link as well as the Funding Guide. 

Information you need to know for your test day:

  • Please arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to testing. This is a computer based test and will be given in the Testing and Disability Center, located in Galloway Hall.
  • Only one test can be taken per test day.
  • Photo ID is required to take the test.
  • Please remember to bring a credit/debit card to pay your testing fees. No other form of payment is accepted on the test day.
