Academic Advisement

Notes & Dates

The Academic Advisement Center (UH260) is where undergraduates begin. An “Academic Advisement Advisee” hold indicates that Academic Advisement is your academic home and remains in place until you exit to your major/program. This hold is an identifier that does not prevent any action by a student.

If you are thinking about withdrawing from a course, contact your academic advisor to discuss your concerns. (Ensure that any withdrawal is fully processed by the midterm date.)

Academic Advisement’s continuing students make “Next Term Advisement” appointments through the link provided in their advisor’s email in mid-September for Spring or mid-January for Summer/Fall. Use link promptly to secure time with your advisor to review your academic plan and discuss target courses. (Next Term Advisement required for registration).

Schedule a virtual appointment with the Academic Success Center (UH156) for tutoring and/or coaching: www.augusta.eduu/academicsuccess/appointments

If you want an “A”, earn it every day! Map key dates from your course syllabus on a term calendar, then plan how to meet these well prepared. Don’t ignore the small points – 10% of your grade could be your “A”. Ask your advisor for tips and check out the Succeed tab on this website.
