Get ready for a journey through Costa Rica where culture, service, and adventure collide! Students will gain hands-on experience in cultural competency and humility by participating in impactful medical campaigns. Dive into Costa Rican culture through interactive cooking classes and exclusive guided tours of vibrant San José. Explore the country’s rich biodiversity with a visit to a local rescue center for toucans and sloths. Then, unwind with a sun-soaked day at Manuel Antonio National Park, topped off with a scenic Ocean King Catamaran cruise along the Pacific coast.
Program Eligibility: Must be enrolled in the Physician Assistant program.

DecDay One - Travel Day
Arrive in San José and transfer to your hotel to check in and settle in for the evening.

DecDay Two
Start the day with breakfast before heading to your first Medical Campaign site; later, enjoy a hands-on Costa Rican cooking class.

DecDay Three
Spend the morning at a new Medical Campaign site, then enjoy a free afternoon to relax or explore.

DecDay Four
Continue your outreach at another Medical Campaign site, then take a festive VIP bus tour of San José with dinner included.

DecDay Five
Return to the field for another morning of service, followed by a free afternoon for shopping, exploring, or resting.

DecDay Six
After another Medical Campaign visit, enjoy the afternoon and evening at your leisure.

DecDay Seven
Visit the Toucan & Sloth Rescue Ranch in the morning, then take a salsa dance class in the afternoon.

DecDay Eight
Enjoy a full-day tour to Doka Coffee Estate, Poás Volcano National Park, and La Paz Waterfall Gardens with breakfast and lunch included.

DecDay Nine
Explore Manuel Antonio National Park, then cruise the Pacific on the Ocean King Catamaran with meals and snorkeling included.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your departure.
