In August of 2024, she attended the GNA Conference in Savannah to formally receive her award. "Receiving this scholarship is an incredible honor. [It's] given in honor of a woman who faced incredible personal challenges and changed those obstacles in opportunities, and in doing so, made a profound impact on the profession of nursing. To me, receiving this scholarship is an affirmation of my research and the hope that the results will help to remove barriers for nurses so that they may make their own impact on the profession." - Paige Krispin
