The Col. Vera Nolfe Anderson
Army Nursing Scholarship Endowment

Established in memory and honor of Col. Anderson, a dedicated and beloved Army nurse. She was an Army Nurse for 24 years was a former Chief Nurse of  Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon. The Scholarship will be awarded to a student who wants to be an Army Nurse (currently in the Army Nurse Corp or desires to be in the Army Nurse Corp after program completion). 

Award Amount: $5000 | Available to: Currently enrolled nursing students


You will submit the following requirements through the academic works application (link below):

  • Two (2) recommendations from faculty.
  • Your resume demonstrating leadership abilities and listing your
    accomplishments, honors, and awards.
  • A paper discussing:

a. How the military has affected your life and nursing career.
b. Your leadership potential.
c. What you hope to accomplish with your nursing degree.

  • Copies of all clinical evaluations (will be pulled by the Student Affairs Office).
