Block 1:

  1. Practice skills in a simulated role play telemedicine encounter
  2. Complete peer assessment on simulated role play
  3. Practice informed consent for patient treatment and telemedicine encounter
  4. Recognize and summarize key concepts of point-of-care ultrasound scanning

Block 2:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient 
  2. Identify a musculoskeletal complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3. Document the musculoskeletal complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record
  4. Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician
  5. Perform a full set of vital signs in a role play setting and compare blood pressure and pulse to a machine reading in both arms
  6. Describe and apply point-of-care ultrasound scanning techniques to shoulder scanning

Block 3:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient
  2. Identify a skin complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3. Document the skin complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record 
  4. Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician 
  5. Perform medication reconciliation in telemedicine encounter with patient
  6. Educate patient about skin related risks of sun
  7. Review skin pressure injury module during clinic pre-work 
  8. Describe the different stages of pressure injury and treatment for the skin
  9. Demonstrate how to do wet to dry dressings on an open wound
  10. Demonstrate hand hygiene and universal precautions
  11. Discuss various levels of isolation and indication for usage
  12. Classify common diagnoses into isolation category
  13. Describe and apply point-of-care ultraasound scanning techniques to knee scanning

 Block 4:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient
  2. Identify a cardiac complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3. Document a cardiac complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record 
  4. Determine the barriers to medication compliance during telemedicine encounter with patient and educate patient on importance of medication compliance
  5. Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician
  6. Demonstrate correct lead placement for an EKG and the effects incorrect lead placement has on EKG interpretation
  7. Perform an EKG on a standardized patient
  8. Practice interpretation of an EKG
  9. Determine the validity of an EKG
  10. Describe and apply point-of-care ultrasound scanning techniques to cardiac and IVC scanning

 Block 5:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient
  2. Identify a pulmonary complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3. Document a pulmonary complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record 
  4. Perform a comprehensive social history focusing on risk factors for pulmonary disease and educate patient on modifiable risk factors (i.e. diet, smoking)
  5. Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician 
  6. Complete BLS training prework prior to clinic
  7. Obtain BLS certification
  8. Describe and apply point-of-care ultrasound scanning techniques to lung scanning 

Block 6:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient                                
  2. Review the Past Medical History and care plan for their chronic disease with the patient
  3. Review the care plan and identify any barriers with compliance
  4. Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician            
  5. Review of life-threatening rhythms and interventions
  6. Understanding the sick versus not sick patient
  7. Describe and apply point-of-care ultrasound scanning techniques to the abdomen including aorta and gallbladder scanning

 

Block 7:

  1. Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient
  2.  Identify an abdominal complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3. Document an abdominal complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record
  4.  Address any disease knowledge gaps providing disease specific patient education related to the care plan
  5.  Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician
  6. Perform IV and IO placement
  7. Describe and apply point-of-care ultrasound scanning techniques to the abdomen

Block 8:

  1.  Perform a telemedicine visit with a patient
  2.  Identify a Renal/GU complaint and perform a review of systems on that complaint
  3.  Document a Renal/GU complaint and the associated symptoms in the electronic medical record
  4. Perform a comprehensive sexual history focusing on risk factors and educate patient on modifiable risk factors
  5.  Complete a full patient telemedicine note and forward to primary physician
  6.  Determine vascular access based on patient condition
  7. Organize into an effective care team based on resources
  8.  Correlate ultrasound findings to physiology of shock state
  9.  Describe and apply point-of-sound ultrasound scanning techniques to FAST exam
