The Vascular Biology Journal Club is a weekly forum for exploring recent scientific publications in vascular and cardiovascular biology. Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research faculty lead discussions of selected research articles, examining the study's background, experimental design, methodology, key findings, strengths, limitations, and impact on the field.
Journal Club provides an opportunity to strengthen scientific communication and critical thinking skills while engaging in thoughtful discussion of current research.

Everyone is encouraged to participate. Attendees are invited to read the featured article in advance, ask questions, exchange ideas, and contribute constructive feedback during the discussion.

Information about article selection, recommended journals, and Journal Club presentation guidelines.
Journal Club presenters select a recent article, preferably published within the past
two years, that is novel, scientifically strong, and of broad interest to the vascular
biology research community.
Selected papers are submitted to the Journal Club Co-Directors at least two weeks
before the scheduled presentation date, with Kari Martin copied on the submission.

Presenters may also select articles from other journals that demonstrate strong scientific merit, with approval from the Co-Directors.
Journal Club presentations are approximately 45 minutes and typically include the
study background, aims or hypothesis, key methods and figures, conclusions, an evaluation
of the work, and a clear take-home message.
Article Selection: Presenters are ancouraged to review the full Journal Club schedule to ensure the
selected article has not already been presented.
