Student Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes for an online mathematics course are the same as the learning outcomes for the same mathematics course offered face-to-face. Therefore, taking this course online does not make the course content easier to learn.

Proctored Tests & Exams

Some or all of your tests and exams will be proctored. Refer to the course syllabus. You may
have your tests and exams proctored on campus at the AU Testing Center or off campus at an approved testing center. Sometimes, your instructor may proctor your tests or exams. Your instructor will provide additional information about proctoring and proctored assessments.

Course Syllabus

The syllabus contains information about your instructor and the course—instructor contact
information, learning outcomes, descriptions of assignments and tests, the grading policy, campus resources, study tips, etc.

Attendance Verification

You must complete the initial assignment by your instructor.  This action confirms your enrollment in the course.

Presence

Your presence in the course will be monitored by your instructor. You should complete all assignments, quizzes, tests, etc. by the due dates. You should contact your instructor immediately if you cannot submit an assignment, quiz, test, etc. by the due date.

You must check your JagMail every day of the semester! Since your instructor will not interact with you face-to-face in a traditional classroom setting, your instructor will communicate with you and your classmates via email.
