Prevention and Education

There are many pieces that must come together in order to create a comprehensive approach to ending sexual violence. Awareness, risk reduction, response, and prevention are all pieces of that puzzle. Effective prevention strategies must address the root causes of sexual violence. To prevent sexual violence, it is necessary to change the culture.

The Title IX team collaborates with many organizations and programs throughout the institution and the community to bring about awareness and education on topics including:

• Bystander Intervention
• Healthy Relationships
• Sexual Assault Awareness Month
• Domestic and Dating Violence Awareness Months
• Stalking, Sexual Harassment and Social Media
• Sexual Harassment Prevention in the Workplace
