The MSN to DNP degree program is offered for nurses with a Master in Nursing who have a national advanced practice certification as a nurse practitioner (NP), nurse anesthetist (NP), nurse midwife (NMW), or clinical nurse specialist (CNS). This program educates advanced nurse clinicians for expert practice in leadership and clinical roles. This doctoral-level educations provides nurses the clinical and management expertise to improve health care outcomes, making them expert collaborators in solving health care problems in systems.
This program is 37 credit hours and may be completed in full-time or part-time study, allowing the opportunity to work while attending school. The program is approved by the Georgia Board of Regents as a web-based program with one or two Augusta campus visits. The MSN to DNP program is available fully 100% online with courses presented asynchronously and does not require on-campus presence for the successful completion of the program.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Augusta University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
