The interactive online Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Executive Program (DNP-NEP) at Augusta University’s College of Nursing (CON) will advance the future of nursing and healthcare leadership in Georgia and beyond. The DNP-NEP is designed exclusively for chief nursing officers, vice presidents of nursing and other nurse leaders aspiring to assume nurse executive-level positions in hospital systems or rural and/or public health settings.

The DNP-NEP prepares current and future nurse executives to perform with business acumen, empathy and self-leadership while navigating the pressures of today’s competitive local and global health care environments. The curriculum and competencies, based on the standards and competencies of the Council on Graduate Education for Administration in Nursing, the American Association of Nurse Leaders, the National Center for Healthcare Leadership, and the Public Health Foundation reflect the advanced skills, technical understanding and personal development required for effective healthcare executive practice. The DNP-NEP is available fully 100% online with courses presented asynchronously and does not require on-campus presence for the successful completion of the program.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Augusta University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
