Augusta University is home to 16 fraternities and sororities, four governing councils, and one honor society. Together, our chapters pursue excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and friendship while staying true to their own values, rituals, and traditions.
Joining a fraternity or sorority means joining a family. Your chapter becomes a home away from home, where you connect with people who share your interests and ideals, create lasting memories, and build friendships for life.

Our Mission
The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life builds intentional systems and infrastructure that empower fraternities and sororities to cultivate belonging, advance academic excellence, develop principled leaders, and create lasting positive impact. We support chapters as values-driven communities where students connect with lifelong purpose and mutual accountability, grounded in equity, transparency, and shared responsibility across our entire fraternity and sorority community.
Our Vision
Fraternity & Sorority Life at Augusta University is a model of inclusive, equitable,
and thriving fraternal communities. Our chapters are recognized nationally for their
commitment to academic achievement, ethical leadership, meaningful service, and intellectual
integrity. We create systems where passion is protected, where every member belongs,
and where fraternity and sorority membership transcends ritual and tradition to become
a genuine force for individual and collective transformation.
We actively work to remove barriers and create spaces where students from all backgrounds thrive. Our policies, practices, and programming reflect an intentional commitment to belonging and fair access.
We invest in transparent policies, clear governance structures, and strong advisor support so students and advisors can lead with authenticity and confidence.
Our chapters are scholars first. We prioritize intellectual rigor, intentional mentoring, and accountability, and we help members balance fraternal engagement with academic commitment.
We maintain clear standards, fair processes, and honest dialogue. We communicate regularly, explain our decisions, and create pathways for chapters to be heard and supported.
We develop members who lead with integrity, make principled decisions even when difficult, and recognize their responsibility to chapter, campus, and community.
We foster a culture of meaningful giving back through authentic philanthropy, community partnership, and social responsibility.
We use data and reflection to improve our work, gather feedback from students and advisors, and adjust our support in response to what we learn.
Policy and Governance
Clear, written standards that protect members and chapters. Decisions are documented, communicated, and applied fairly.
Advisor Development and Support
Advisors are the backbone of fraternity and sorority life. We invest in their training, resources, and community so they can do their best work.
Assessment and Institutional Memory
We measure what matters, share results openly with chapters, and preserve knowledge in systems so progress carries forward from year to year.
Each council governs its member chapters, organizes community events, sets council standards, and upholds the mission and values of fraternity and sorority life.
