The Augusta University Drum Major and Leadership Camp is June 5th - June 7th, 2024

This camp is a two-and-a-half-day workshop for rising 10th -12th grade high school band students. Students who already hold a leadership position within their high school band program are welcome to attend as well as those who are aspiring to earn a leadership position. All students will learn the fundamentals of leadership skills, the basics of marching fundamentals and how to teach and lead their peers, and the basics conducting technique.

Each day, the camp students will work together on basic leadership training, then divide into two tracks.

  • Drum majors or aspiring drum majors will focus on advanced conducting technique, score study, and vocal commands.
  • Students in the Leadership track will focus on dynamic leadership training, in-depth marching instruction, and team building activities.
