Student Life at Augusta University
Getting involved at Augusta University has never been easier! There are multiple opportunities
across campus that immerse students into real life experiences that grow necessary
leadership skills and abilities.
Student Life & Engagement (SLE) is committed to providing innovative programs to help students get involved
on campus. We aim to give Jaguars opportunities to develop leadership skills and pursue
their interests through experiential learning.
Our team supports over 100 student organizations, an engaged Greek Community, and
advises the Jaguar Production Crew, Homecoming Executive Council, and the Student Government Association. Our office
diligently works to provide high level leadership programming and the facilitation
of growing student leaders through the Jaguar Leaders program. This office also works
closely with other university departments to give our new and transferring students
a fresh look at Augusta University through Jaguar Student Orientation.
Our mission is to engage students, provide purposeful opportunities that enhance the
academic experience and foster personal growth in an environment that demonstrates
the university's core values.

The Arts
The Maxwell Theatre, part of the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs, is the
cultural heart of the Augusta University campus, and students take center stage. The
Department of Music ensembles and Theatre AUG, from the Department of Communications,
provide ample performance opportunities for students. Students, faculty, staff, and
community members attend a broad variety of events. The Lyceum Series presents national
and international music, dance, and theatre companies. The Harry Jacobs Chamber Music
Society brings a rich series of world class performers to campus.
Clubs & Organizations
Student organizations exist to support the overall objectives of Augusta University.
Student organizations offer the individual students an opportunity to broaden the
academic environment. Skills and experience obtained through membership in student
organizations serve as a valuable supplement to the formal curriculum. Studies confirm
that students benefit greatly from being involved in a campus organization; an active,
involved student is a successful student.
Through participating in activities and clubs, students can complement the classroom
curriculum with out-of-class related experiences, form relationships with other students
with similar interests, develop mentor relationships with faculty and staff, and utilize
life skills such as decision making, planning, critical thinking, and more. Student
organizations help create a sense of community and spirit on campus. Broaden your
horizons in ways you could never imagine - get involved!
The Jaguar Production Crew, better known as The CREW, is the main student body programming
board at Augusta University. We aim to provide fun activities and events that will
enrich the quality of your experience on campus! All events are funded by your student
fees, so we can plan events that are free for you!
Augusta University is home to 12 fraternities and sororities. While each chapter has
their own rituals, traditions, and philanthropies, together the brotherhoods and sisterhoods
strive to live by Augusta University's fraternal core values of scholarship, leadership,
service, and friendship.
Acting as the voice of all students enrolled at Augusta University, the Student Government
Associations (SGA) shall actively work to improve the quality of life for the Student
Body, along with the university and community as a whole. Augusta University's SGA
is composed of two bodies: the Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA) and the Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA). Each body serves as a liaison between students and the administration of Augusta
University.
The Civic Engagement office helps involve students in learning experiences that serve
community needs through direct service and engagement opportunities. Opportunities
for community service both at a distance and in-person, voter registration drives,
and additional events that promote civic engagement will be available for students
to participate in.
