We provide a broad education in the fundamentals of biology via the classroom setting and through hands-on learning in laboratories. We also allow for specialized training by providing opportunities for students to participate in basic and applied research in ecology, genetics, microbiology, plant physiology, aquatic biology, cell and molecular biology, and more.

By these experiences students at Augusta University are exposed to the true diversity of the field of Biological Sciences. And for those who wish to specialize, students may choose to major in Biology, or in Cell and Molecular Biology, or in Ecology with courses designed specifically for each major.
