What You'll Study

Coursework

Students in Augusta University’s Master of Science with a major in data science program will have the option of finishing the program within a single calendar year, two years or on a part-time basis.

Classes consist of 21 hours of core courses and electives in cybersecurity, genomics or a combination of the two as well as other approved graduate level courses. A capstone project will be required for graduation.

As part of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, students in the Data Science program are part of the state’s only public medical school, with access to cutting-edge research that is making a positive impact on patient health and wellbeing on a daily basis.

For the first time in school history, Augusta University passed the 10,000 student mark and celebrated the occasion. The university now has 10,546 students enrolled, a 7.5% increase over last fall's enrollment numbers.
