Start here
LEAP Week is Augusta University’s six-day transition into campus life and the Augusta community. It gives incoming Jaguars time to meet other students, learn their way around, and begin building connections for their first semester.
LEAP Week runs Wednesday, August 12, through Monday, August 17. The week moves through five phases: Welcome on Wednesday and Thursday, Launch on Friday, Engage on Saturday, Ascend on Sunday, and Propel on Monday.
LEAP Week is designed for students beginning at Augusta University. Watch your Augusta University email for instructions that apply to your student type and arrival plan.
Official LEAP Week program activities are included. Optional personal purchases are separate.
Your weekend
LEAP Week offers 16 interest-based tracks across four categories: Wellbeing, Leadership, Innovation, and Community. Your track is your home base for four weekend blocks. Every track includes The BIG Idea and Playfair.
Your track and individual schedule details will be shared through official Augusta University communications. They are not posted on this public website.
Contact New Student & Family Transitions as early as possible. Changes depend on space and program logistics and cannot be guaranteed.
Use the most recent official message sent to you. Times, meeting places, and transportation instructions may be updated as operating details are finalized.
Be ready
Bring your JagCard, a charged phone, a refillable water bottle, and comfortable walking shoes. For outdoor activities, bring sunscreen, a hat, and bug spray. Follow any activity-specific instructions in your schedule.
Choose comfortable clothing that fits your activities and Augusta’s August weather. Some activities may require closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get messy, or water-ready gear. Your schedule will note those requirements.
Outdoor plans may change because of heat, storms, or other conditions. Watch official messages and follow LEAP Week staff instructions. Bring water and weather-appropriate clothing.
Know where to go
Your official LEAP Week communications will include your check-in date, time, and location. Use the most recent instructions sent to you.
University transportation is planned for scheduled off-campus and intercampus track movements. Your individual schedule will provide meeting, pickup, and return information. Do not drive directly to a track location unless your official instructions specifically allow it.
Go to the meeting place in your schedule and check with LEAP Week staff. Track groups travel together, so you may not be able to join a block after your group departs.
Parking instructions may vary by day and event. Follow the directions in your official schedule and use Augusta University’s campus maps to locate buildings and parking areas.
