Welcome Home, Jags!

New Student & Family Transitions exists to aid in the transition of our new students and their family members to Augusta University.

Mission and Vision

The mission of New Student & Family Transitions is to provide a seamless transition into the Augusta University community through a series of innovative high-impact programs focused on orientating, transitioning, and retaining new students and their families.

By providing timely and accessible programming from the point of admission through matriculation, students and their families will be engaged with opportunities to connect with campus resources, learn the culture and customs of Jaguar Nation, and receive consistent communication that leads to a successful transition.

Transition Programs

First Time Student Orientation

First time students are considered those coming directly from high school. Dual enrolled students coming with college credits are still considered first time students.

Transfer Orientation

Students coming to us from another college, university, or are returning to school after an extended period of time should refer to transfer orientation information.

Dual Enrollment Orientation

Are you in high school getting ready to take your first college credits? Complete orientation that is specific to the dual enrollment experience.

New Student Checklist

Now that you've accepted your offer of admission be sure to complete all items to ensure a seamless transition to your first day of classes.

Orientation Leaders

Need an expert opinion? Meet students who are ready to welcome you into Jaguar Nation and help answer your questions. Orientation Leaders serve as peer mentors throughout a student's first semester.
