Vehicle Services

We manage the vehicle fleet of Augusta University.

Vehicle Services oversees all maintenance, repairs, and vehicle purchases, and provides guidance to keep us compliant with state and University System of Georgia regulations.

Report a Breakdown

To report a breakdown of an Augusta University vehicle, call ARI Roadside Assistance at 1-800-CAR-CARE (1-800-227-2273). You also need to report the problem to us.

Where to use a WEX fleet card

Your WEX card is how you purchase gas for vehicles in the Augusta University fleet. See businesses accepting WEX fleet cards.

Need to purchase a vehicle?

For information on purchasing a vehicle or if you would like to surplus a vehicle, please email us at vehicle_services@augusta.edu.

Driver Certification

In order to operate a vehicle or golf cart belonging to Augusta University, all prospective drivers must complete the following steps:

  1. Watch the Auto Liability Training videos and complete the acknowledgment on the page (you must enter all the information, including your AU email address)
  2. Initial and sign the Driver Acknowledgement Form and email it to vehicle_services@augusta.edu.
  3. You will be contacted via email by Accurate Background to give your consent for us to check your motor vehicle records. Please follow the prompts and provide the information requested.
  4. Download a Georgia Liability Insurance Identification Card
