Space-Management, Real Estate and Facilities Committee (SMRF)

The role of the Space Management, Real Estate and Facilities Committee (the "Committee") is to develop and promote new procedures and policies regarding the effective management of Augusta University space assignment and utilization, real properties, and provide guidance related to Facilities' delivery of capital projects. Relative to space-management, the committee will oversee the allocation of space to University academic, administrative, research and athletic units, review and make decisions regarding space requests that may involve significant alterations, major reassignments or functional changes in space controlled by the University. These decisions shall be in alignment with the AU Strategic Plan and take into consideration both short-term and long-term planning horizons. The Committee will continually strive to provide functional, welcoming, and safe work and learning environments for all students, faculty, and staff.
