Event Date: Friday, April 17, 2026
The DCG Office of Research presents the Southeastern Dental Research (SeDR) Symposium, where students, residents and faculty are invited to present their dental or dental-related research and innovative clinical treatments as poster presentations. Dental professionals and residents from regional clinics and programs are also invited to participate. Participants may opt to compete in the poster competition to win monetary awards and recognition.
SeDR has something for everyone! In addition to presenting a poster, faculty can volunteer as a student mentor or a poster competition judge.
"I am thankful for the Dental College of Georgia Research Day giving us the opportunity
to see the variety of research being performed throughout our school. The topics I
have previously presented are now full papers that are pending publication. This event
gives young researchers experiences that will guide them in their future endeavors."
- Kyle Frazie, OMFS Resident
Research Day gave me the confidence to present research at a national conference.
It taught me what to expect and gave me experience fielding questions about my research
project.
-Rebecca Gaillard, DMD Student
I am thankful to the organizers of the DCG Research Day for bestowing upon me the
opportunity to present my research and also learn about other students' work. It was
a great platform to seek guidance and constructive feedback on my research. It helped me enhance my confidence to present my work at other national and international
conferences.
