Housing

We have a mix of residents who have purchased houses, built houses, or rented apartments. Housing prices are low and most residents live within a 20 minute commute to the hospital. There are many areas of ongoing development with new houses and apartments becoming available year round. With affordable homes and apartments in Augusta, North Augusta, Martinez, Evans, and Grovetown, everyone can find a place that fits their needs.

 

 

 

Dining

Augusta has a variety of diverse dining options that our residents enjoy. With traditional contemporary dining, modern favorites, and globally influenced cuisine, Augusta enjoys options to satisfy any palate craving. At the hospital, residents receive a $300 meal stipend annually in addition to access to the daily re-stocked resident lounge. On-campus dining options include the Terrace Café, which has a rotating menu including a burger/grill station, sandwiches and rolls, and traditional entrees, Subway, and McDonald's.

 

Recreation

A resident golfingStaying true to Augusta's reputation as the golf capital of the world, our residents enjoy playing at a variety of courses in the area. Residents benefit from an employee discount at the Augusta University Forest Hills Golf Course. And for those who want a more exciting golf experience, we have a brand new Top Golf center 15 minutes from the hospital.

For our non-golfers, the Augusta metropolitan area has numerous parks with miles of paved and unpaved walking, running, and biking trails. We are situated along the Savannah River, with canoe rentals for residents to explore the local waterways.

 

Travel

Augusta is located within 2 hours of beaches, mountains, and Atlanta. Driving is easy with next-to-no traffic on a daily basis. The Augusta Regional Airport has direct flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, and Washington with short pre-flight wait times.
