A big “Thank you” for submitting your research work and clinical cases to be presented at the upcoming Research and Table Clinic Day, on March 8, 2023.

We have about 60 posters for the event this year. We are so looking forward to hearing about your work.  

Poster pick-up (for DCG presenters)

Printed posters will be available to pick up from GC 4232 beginning March 3.  Be aware that if there are any concerns with the size or resolution of images, you will receive an email directly from the AU Printing Department for clarification. Kindly respond to it immediately and help us keep things on time.

 

March 8th Poster Display and Pashley Lecture

12PM – 1PM

The Annual David H. Pashley Lecture will kick of the day in GB 1220. This year’s speaker is renowned restorative dentist, John O. Burgess, DDS, MS, who will present “The Adhesive Restoration: What works where?” Pizza lunch will be provided to the first 200 attendees.

1:15PM – 3:45PM

  • Poster Presentations will be displayed and available for review in the Ed Commons building from 1:15 pm to 3:45 pm.
  • You are expected to be present and standing by your poster till 3:15 pm to present your work to the general audience and answer any questions (You will not be judged at this time).
  • The location for the poster display will be in the Lobby area outside of the GB1220 room and in GB 1120.
  • The display boards will be marked with your and your mentor’s name, and your poster number.
  • Your posters can be placed on the display boards starting at 11:00 am.
  • Professional attire is required for presentations. Wear your formal DCG white coats.
  • Posters need to be taken down by 5 pm. ANY POSTERS LEFT ON THE DISPLAY BOARD AFTER 5:00 PM WILL BE DISCARDED.

4PM

The Award Ceremony and Post-Event Reception will be held in GB1120 at 4:00 pm. The winners of the poster presentation competition will be announced at this time.

 

Read this further only if you have signed up for the poster presentation competition:

Poster Presentation Contest (Judging sessions): Tuesday, March 7, 2023, via Team’s meeting

Judging of the posters: 

You will be judged based on predefined criteria. (The rubric to be used by judges for evaluating your poster is attached.)

Your pre-recorded presentations will be made available to a panel of three judges to preview. The judges will give a preliminarily score based on your taped presentation between March 1st and March 7th. Do not miss the February 27th deadline for submitting your video summary link and final poster. 

You will meet individually with the judges via MS Teams to answer questions about your project from the judges on March 7th between 12:00PM and 1:00PM. Each session will be between 3 and 5 minutes in length.

Your exact MS Teams meeting time will be shared via a Teams/Outlook Calendar invitation. Please be available on standby between 12:00PM and 1:00pm in case there are last minute changes to the schedule. Only one presenter will be allowed in the virtual room at a time.
