Life Enrichment (Non-Traditional Students)

A Life Enrichment student is one who has graduated from high school or earned an equivalent credential, has not attended high school in the past five years, and has earned no more than 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of transferable college credit. 

Requirements

Official High School Transcript/GED
  • The transcript must show the high school graduation date.
  • If no high school graduation date exists, official GED scores must also be submitted.
Official College Transcripts
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended after high school graduation are required.
Official SAT or ACT Scores (optional)
  • SAT/ACT scores are not required, however, certain scores can prevent required ACCUPLACER testing. Scores must:
    • Be no older than seven years
    • SAT - Be at least 500 in both Evidence-Based Reading and Mathematics
    • ACT - Be at least 21 on both English/Reading and Mathematics
ACCUPLACER Exam - Required for Admission Consideration
  • Writing
    • 4+ required for admission to AU and placement into ENGL 1101
  • Reading
    • 237+ required for admission to AU and placement into ENGL 1101
  • Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics
    • 258+ required for admission to AU
    • 258-265 for placement in MATH 1001/1401 or MATH 1111 with co-requisite learning support
    • 266+ for placement in MATH 1111 without co-requisite learning support
    • Note: Students will be placed in the level of Math required for their major. MATH 1111 is not required for all programs.
