Augusta University, founded in 1828, is one of only four public research universities in the state of Georgia, and the only one with a nationally recognized academic health center. Augusta University offers more than 120 degrees within nine colleges and schools and has campuses and off-site instructional programs throughout the state.

Students are taught by some of the most prestigious scientists, clinicians, scholars and artists in the nation. Augusta University faculty members are not only insightful and expert instructors, they are also dedicated to inspiring students and work outside of the classroom to help students achieve an educational experience unlike any other.

Augusta's mission is to provide leadership and excellence in teaching, discovery, clinical care and service as a student-centered comprehensive research university with a wide range of programs from learning assistance through postdoctoral studies. Honors Program

Open to students in every major, the Honors Program seeks to challenge students intellectually, enhance their interpersonal communication skills and prepare them for a culturally diverse society. It is not a separate degree program, but is designed to augment the course work required for a degree.

Center for undergraduate research & scholarship

The Center for Undergraduate Research & Scholarship (CURS) at Augusta University offers undergraduates the opportunity to build close working relationships with faculty and peers.

At Augusta University, we provide undergraduates the opportunity to build close working relationships with faculty and peers. Today's competitive job market is forcing dramatic changes in higher education. Students aren't simply being asked to memorize pages of lecture notes; instead, undergraduates are challenged to become active contributors to the development and dissemination of new knowledge in their field of study.

CURS offers students the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research and do real scholarly or creative work as undergraduates. We work closely with Augusta University faculty to ensure programs are developed that meet the needs of the faculty and students.

GA Cyber Innovation & Training Center

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has announced the state will invest $50 million for a world-class cyber range and training facility in Augusta. A portion of Augusta University's Riverfront Campus will become the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center, home to a new statewide effort to develop the workforce and infrastructure needed to protect our nation from cyber threats.

Cyber Security is crucial to the future of healthcare. As the industry transitions to digital records, guarding patient's information is paramount. As the area's foremost proponent of Cyber, we are committed to making its importance part of everyone's Dialogue through programs, partnerships and conferences.
