Augusta University, founded in 1828, is one of only four public research universities in the state of Georgia, and the only one with a nationally recognized academic health center. Augusta University offers more than 120 degrees within nine colleges and schools and has campuses and off-site instructional programs throughout the state.
Students are taught by some of the most prestigious scientists, clinicians, scholars and artists in the nation. Augusta University faculty members are not only insightful and expert instructors, they are also dedicated to inspiring students and work outside of the classroom to help students achieve an educational experience unlike any other.
Augusta's mission is to provide leadership and excellence in teaching, discovery, clinical care and service as a student-centered comprehensive research university with a wide range of programs from learning assistance through postdoctoral studies. Honors Program
Open to students in every major, the Honors Program seeks to challenge students intellectually, enhance their interpersonal communication skills and prepare them for a culturally diverse society. It is not a separate degree program, but is designed to augment the course work required for a degree.
Career Services
Career Services engages students early and often throughout their time at Augusta University to help them succeed both academically and professionally, from career assessments, exploration and job shadowing resources to intern and co-op experiences that complement the classroom experience. We also help students prepare for competitive graduate programs and employment opportunities through mock interview, resume assistance and guidance on networking, business etiquette and more. Our services are customized to help students with their professional development goals to ensure that student success and employer satisfaction go hand in hand.
Study Abroad
Students have access to adventure through more than 20 study abroad opportunities. Augusta University also offers a variety of study away programs. Studying abroad or away gives students a global perspective and memories they will carry forever. Program change from year to year, so there is an opportunity for everyone.

At Augusta, we have Medical and Dental Scholars Programs where you can earn a Bachelor of Science degree and also guarantee your acceptance into the Medical College of Georgia or College of Dental Medicine, provided you meet the specific requirements.

At Augusta University, we provide undergraduates the opportunity to build close working relationships with faculty and peers. Today's competitive job market is forcing dramatic changes in higher education. Students aren't simply being asked to memorize pages of lecture notes; instead, undergraduates are challenged to become active contributors to the development and dissemination of new knowledge in their field of study.
CURS offers students the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research and do real scholarly or creative work as undergraduates. We work closely with Augusta University faculty to ensure programs are developed that meet the needs of the faculty and students.
