Program Overview
A Fellowship Built For Future Leaders
The Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia offers a comprehensive one-year training that combines intensive hands-on procedural training with both inpatient and outpatient clinical care. Fellows work closely with faculty and participate in the longitudinal management of patients, gaining exposure to the full continuum of interventional pulmonary care from diagnosis to treatment. Training takes place at a high-acuity tertiary academic referral center that serves patients throughout Georgia and western South Carolina.
The MCG Interventional Pulmonology program was established in 2018 and the IP fellowship was launched in 2021. After a brief the fellowship is scheduled to restart in 2027. The ACGME accredited program currently has two board-certified interventional pulmonology faculty members and is actively recruiting a third faculty member to further expand its clinical and educational offerings.
