Medical Student Scholarly Project at the Medical College of Georgia offers the opportunity for all medical students in good academic standing to become engaged in a scholarly project, in close mentorship with faculty who are nationally and internationally distinguished scientists, clinicians, and academic scholars.

Six students will present oral presentations showcasing their research across a range of topics and medical specialties.
A panel will feature residency program directors and department chairs who will provide research insights for residency match.
Medical students will showcase their research through poster presentations, highlighting their contributions across various fields of medicine.

The Office of Academic Affairs provides complimentary in-house poster printing for all current MCG students across all campuses who are engaged in educational research. Students may request printing services once per academic year. No Template? No Problem! Feel free to download and utilize one of the templates below, specifically designed for our in-house printer.
To submit your poster, please email it as a PowerPoint file to lawatkins@augusta.edu at least three days before your needed deadline.

Advanced Research Pathway
Students enrolled in this pathway will complete extensive research with a faculty mentor during the third or fourth year of medical school. The research can be completed in any 5 months from March of the third year through graduation, but the 5 months must be consecutive. Students will be required to present a poster at Research Day and give a final presentation to their mentor, research team, and curriculum faculty.
