Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity

Pamplin faculty engage in a wide variety of Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (RSCA).

Our work is as diverse as we are and includes lab experiments, musical compositions and performances, statistical analysis of surveys, creative writing, archival data collection, art installations, literary criticism, ethnographic field research, archaeological digs, and more. In each of these, our faculty use state of the art techniques and equipment to discover scientifically sound research findings, develop compelling scholarship, and create the highest caliber of artistic design.

This funding enables the purchase of needed materials, travel to collect data, participant recruitment, and/or time to complete the project, among other activities.

Pamplin Summer RSCA Program

Pamplin Professional Impact Fund

The Pamplin Professional Impact Fund (PPIF) provides funding for Pamplin faculty to facilitate the dissemination of RSCA through conference presentations, performances, and exhibitions, as well as to create, conduct, or prepare of RSCA.
