STORM™ Medical Provider
A forty-hour, comprehensive Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) course for licensed
medical personnel directly supporting tactical law enforcement teams.
STORM™ Medical Provider Enrollment Requirements
Applicants should be employed by a public safety, government, or law enforcement agency,
emergency medical service, fire service, or any branch of military service, and must
provide a letter of recommendation from their supervisor on company letterhead. Full
course fee(s) or written confirmation from sponsoring agency that payment must be
received by course start date. Applicant must be at least an EMT-Basic to attend Medic
level course.
In addition, applicant must submit a registration form with the following documents
attached:
- Release of liability form - Complete the form and save it to your computer.
- Photographic Release form - Complete the form and save it to your computer.
- Letter of sponsorship from a law enforcement agency or criminal background check (from
state of residence, performed within 30 days of course start).
Uniform and Equipment
Students should come to the course with their complete duty uniform, including tactical
vest, body armor, helmet, eye protection, elbow and kneepads, hands-free light, and
entry medical bag. Privately owned or organization-issued weapons are not needed for
the course. Students will be issued an individual first aid kit (IFAK) for training
use.
