Dr. Wyatt Bio
Dr. Tasha Wyatt is our Educational Researcher and an Assistant Professor with an appointment
in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Tasha earned a PhD in Educational
Psychology from the University of Hawaii and an MA in Educational Administration from
New Mexico State University. Prior to coming to Augusta University, she was an Associate
Specialist at the University of Hawai‘i where she facilitated a program of professional
development.
Her role in the Educational Psychology department was to implement a program of professional
development that taught pre-service and in-service teachers pedagogical strategies
best-suited for teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students. Her skill
set includes program development, instructional coaching, program evaluation, and
educational research.
Within health sciences research, her interests include assisting students develop
patient ownership, developing educational researchers, and leveraging the cultural
assets of faculty and students. More generally, her research interests include the
application of post-colonial educational models to mainstream education.
