The purpose of the EII’s Educational Research Fellowship is to provide select MCG faculty with a guided training experience that broadens their professional identity; equips them with new skills, abilities, and knowledge; and prepares them to make scholarly and educational contributions that will improve medical education at Augusta University and beyond.
The purpose of the Educational Research Fellowship is to facilitate participants’ formation and development as (a) producers of medical education research, (b) advocates for educational research within their own departments and the broader Augusta University community, and (c) coaches, mentors, and leaders for other MCG faculty who are interested or engaged in medical education research.
The expectations of the Fellows are:
Funding: Faculty applicants negotiate with their department Chair for 10% release time to attend weekly training sessions and to develop a project. The department financially supports this release time.
