Health Care Education Research Internship
The EII offers semester-long research internships for students at area colleges and universities who are seeking degrees in education, psychology, health care and other related fields. These are non-paying experiences but can be taken for course credit at the student's home college or university if available. This internship involves hands-on research experience and training in the field of medical education research.
Responsibilities
The Intern will a play key role in ongoing research projects related to health sciences education and will participate in the planning and development of new projects. Specific responsibilities include searching the literature, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, preparing Human Assurance Committee documents, grants, presentations, and manuscripts, and participating in research team meetings and supervision. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed and as are relevant to the internship experience.
Skills
Students should have completed at least one basic statistics course and one research design course. Additional coursework in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, test design and construction, and assessment is preferred. Past research experience is also preferred.
All students must become certified to do research at Augusta University using the CITI Collaborative IRB Training Initiative and complete the Augusta University volunteer agreement in order to participate in the internship.
A minimum of 10 hours per week is required to apply for an internship through the EII. Graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.

Work Study Research Position
The mission of the Educational Innovation Institute is to promote Excellence, Discovery, Innovation, and Translation in health care education to enhance learning and improve patient care. We envision Augusta University as a national leader in advancing health sciences education research, innovation and discovery, and scholarship. We seek work study students interested in research who want to be part of a highly enthusiastic and productive research team.
