CLASS provides course-based tutoring to help students strengthen their understanding
of course material, work through challenging concepts, and develop strategies for
continued success in their courses.
Tutoring is available for many undergraduate courses and is provided by trained CLASS
Peer Educators through individual and small-group sessions.
Tutoring is collaborative. CLASS tutors will help you work through concepts, ask questions, and develop your understanding rather than simply provide answers or complete coursework for you.
Use AUCLASS Online to find tutoring for your course, view available Peer Educators, and select an appointment time that works for you.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) provides collaborative, peer-led learning support for selected courses. SI sessions give students an opportunity to review course concepts, practice applying what they are learning, ask questions, and strengthen their understanding alongside classmates.
Sessions are facilitated by trained SI Leaders who have successfully completed the course or demonstrated strong knowledge of the subject area. SI Leaders work with course faculty and CLASS to develop engaging sessions that reinforce learning through active participation and collaborative practice.
SI is for everyone enrolled in a supported course—not just students who are struggling. Students are encouraged to participate throughout the semester.
SI sessions are designed to be interactive. Depending on the course and material, students may:
Tutoring provides individualized or small-group support for specific course content.
Supplemental Instruction provides regularly scheduled, collaborative learning sessions connected to selected courses.
You can use both services when they are available for your course.
Supplemental Instruction is available for selected courses each semester. SI availability, session schedules, and locations may vary by course.
Check AUCLASS Online to see available Supplemental Instruction sessions and upcoming course support.
Don't see SI for your course? You may still be able to receive support through CLASS Tutoring, Academic Peer Coaching, or other academic support services. Contact CLASS@augusta.edu if you need help finding the right option.
Sometimes academic challenges involve more than one course or one study strategy. CLASS Success Coordinators provide individualized support to help students understand their academic situation, identify barriers to success, connect with appropriate resources, and develop a plan for moving forward.
Success Coordinators work collaboratively with students and university partners to help ensure students receive timely, coordinated support.
You do not need a referral to meet with a Success Coordinator. Any student can connect with CLASS when they need help navigating an academic concern or determining their next step.
A Success Coordinator may be a good place to start if:
You're concerned about your academic performance, received outreach from CLASS, are having difficulty in multiple courses, aren't sure which CLASS service you need, or simply want help developing a plan to move forward.
Not sure who your Success Coordinator is? That's okay. Contact CLASS@augusta.edu, and we'll help connect you with the appropriate member of our team.

Receiving an Early Alert or outreach related to your midterm grade means that someone at Augusta University wants to make sure you are connected with support and have an opportunity to take action.
Faculty may submit an Early Alert when they notice an academic concern such as attendance, missing assignments, low quiz or exam performance, or a low course average. CLASS may also reach out to students whose midterm grades indicate that additional academic support could be helpful.
An Early Alert or midterm grade referral is not a disciplinary action. It is an opportunity to connect with CLASS, understand the concern, explore available resources, and develop strategies for moving forward.
Don't ignore the outreach. Connect with us.
