University Cancer & Blood Center has provided comprehensive medical and radiation oncology in north Georgia since 1982, under the highest standards and delivered with compassion and respect.
With physicians who trained at the nation’s leading cancer centers—including MD Anderson in Houston; Georgetown University in Washington, DC; the National Cancer Institute; Cornell; and others—the center relies on state-of-the-art cancer therapies guided under the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center standards of excellence for patient care.
Patients also have access to an extensive list of clinical trials not available at other sites, including some global trials.
In fact, the Conquer Cancer Foundation and American Society of Clinical Oncology awarded UCBC’s Clinical Research Department with the 2013 Clinical Trials Participation Award. This award is designed to increase the awareness of and participation in clinical trials among physicians through the recognition of quality, community-based clinical research sites. UCBC is only the second practice in Georgia to receive this recognition.
