The Vice Provost for Instruction works closely with Deans and Vice Presidents to develop and advance the strategic academic mission of Augusta University to focus on the delivery of high quality instruction throughout our academic programs, incorporation of high impact practices into instruction and enhancement of innovative methods of instruction and opportunities to engage the 21st century learner in ways that will positively impact student learning.

The Division for Instruction and Innovation is a diverse group of units that share a commitment to engaged learning through innovative instruction. Likewise, the Division works from the assumption that high impact learning experiences are best when they are nested in contexts beyond the classrooms. Whether the learning is in the medical clinic, the art studio, a rural health clinic, the historical museum, or a third grade classroom, the best instruction finds a way to move from theory to practice and then back to theory, thus crafting a dialogue that focuses on making this world a better place in which to live.
