First and Second Year Experiences
Freshman Convocation is the ceremony that officially welcomes first year freshmen (this year, the Class of 2029), to the Augusta University Family. At this event, students join in on AU Traditions such as the annual Class Pinning ceremony, singing the Alma Mater, taking the Class Photo and Tossing the Penny into the Blanchard Fountain. After the ceremony, students are invited to have supper with their future professors and campus professionals while exploring the many academic opportunities at AU.

Welcome Back Bash, our highly anticipated annual event, kicks off with an electrifying pep rally at Christenberry Fieldhouse, where we'll introduce our AU athletic teams to the roaring student body. Following the rally, the excitement continues with a takeover, featuring several food trucks, outdoor games, giveaways, glowcade, music, and more.
