Path Finder Summer Program

The Path Finder Summer Leadership Program at Augusta University, is a residential, weeklong experience designed to help new Jaguars build meaningful connections, develop essential leadership skills, and discover how to make an impact on campus and in the community.

Program Overview

The Path Finder Summer Leadership Program at Augusta University is more than just a summer experience, it’s the foundation for your journey as a lifelong leader. Built on the principles of Learn. Engage. Act. Develop., this weeklong immersive program empowers incoming freshmen to build meaningful connections, explore their leadership potential, and understand how their voice can create impact both on campus and in the community. 

Through hands-on learning and community engagement, you’ll gain the confidence, skills, and vision to lead from day one, equipping you to shape your future and make a difference in the world around you. 

The program concludes with a Community Engagement & Leadership Recognition Ceremony, where students are celebrated for their participation and commitment to leading with purpose.       

Participants will leave the program with:

  • New friendships and a strong peer network
  • A deeper understanding of their leadership strengths
  • Exposure to campus and community engagement opportunities
  • A clearer vision of how they can contribute to the AU community
 
Benefits

The Path Finder Summer Leadership  Program at Augusta University provides incoming freshmen with a strong and supportive start to their college journey. Through early exposure to campus resources, peer connections, and hands-on learning experiences, students gain the confidence needed to successfully transition into college life. The program fosters a sense of belonging by helping students build meaningful relationships before the semester begins, while also introducing them to leadership development through the Learn. Engage. Act. Develop. framework.

As a result, students develop greater self-awareness, strengthen their communication and leadership skills, and gain a clearer sense of purpose. By engaging in both campus and community-based experiences, participants begin to understand how their education can create real-world, life-changing impact. Students leave the program more connected, confident, and prepared to thrive—equipped with the tools, vision, and motivation to contribute meaningfully to the Augusta University community and beyond.

 

Securing a Spot

To secure a spot in the Path Finder Summer Leadership  Program, submit an application and invited students will receive a confirmation email outlining next steps. Additional guidance will follow, including housing forms, a required virtual onboarding session, and additional program details. Students are encouraged to check their email regularly throughout the spring and early summer to stay informed.                                                                                                                 

 

Program Cost

Each student is required to pay a non-refundable $125 program fee to confirm participation in the Path Finder Summer Program. This fee covers housing and program activity materials. 

 
New Student Orientation

As part of the program, students will participate in a New Student Orientation session on Tuesday June 9th, helping them prepare for a smooth transition before classes begin in August.

The program is open to incoming freshmen who have been admitted to Augusta University. Students should be ready to engage in leadership and community-focused activities. 

The Path Finder Program is a weeklong residential experience beginning on June 7th. 

Yes. A non-refundable $125 program fee is required to confirm participation. This fee covers housing and program activity materials. 

No. All program fees must be paid in advance to confirm your participation in the Pathfinders Leadership Program

Yes. Staying on campus is mandatory for the weeklong Pathfinders Leadership Program, as it ensures full participation in all activities, workshops, and community engagement experiences. 

No. New students with dorm assignments will stay in the dormitory assigned by the housing department.
