Homecoming
Homecoming is a great time for Augusta University alumni and friends to reconnect to the campus and reunite with old friends. It is also a great time for current students to celebrate what makes Augusta University truly unique and outstanding.
The homecoming court is a part of the annual homecoming festivities at Augusta University. The purpose of the court is to recognize members of the student body who make invaluable contributions to the Augusta community and represent the core ideals of Augusta University as a student leader. Throughout the week of homecoming, these students serve as ambassadors of school spirit and pride. Voting for the king, queen, duke, and duchess will take place during the week of homecoming, and the winners will be recognized during half-time at the homecoming basketball game.

Kick Off Fireworks Show
Date: Sunday, February 15, 2026

Location: Summerville Amphitheatre
Kick off Homecoming Week with an evening full of excitement and school spirit at the
Homecoming Kickoff Fireworks Show! This student-led event is the perfect way to set
the tone for the week’s celebrations. Meet the candidates running for Homecoming Court
and witness the creative banner reveals from student organizations, all leading up
to a breathtaking fireworks finale that will light up the night sky.
Homecoming Hangout
Date: Monday, February 16, 2026
Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Health Sciences Field
This annual Homecoming event is hosted on the Health Sciences Field and is themed around this year’s Homecoming theme. Students can pick up their official Homecoming shirts, enjoy food, relax, and participate in various activities.
Candidate Cookout
Date: Tuesday, February 17, 2026

Location: JSAC Field
Join us for the Homecoming 2026 Candidate Cookout, where fun, food, and school spirit
come together! This laid-back event is the perfect opportunity to meet the Homecoming
Court candidates as they engage with students, showcase their platforms, and campaign
in a relaxed cookout atmosphere. Enjoy delicious hotdogs, hamburgers, and more while
connecting with friends and celebrating Homecoming Week.
Jaguar Mania

Get ready for the excitement of Jaguar Mania, one of the most highly anticipated events
of Homecoming Week! This high-energy dance competition showcases the talent and creativity
of students, student organizations, and Homecoming candidates as they battle it out
for the coveted title.

Get ready for a night of elegance and excitement at the Homecoming Dance! This signature
event features music, dancing, and the crowning of the Homecoming Duke and Duchess,
making it a highlight of the week.
Homecoming Crowning / Basketball Game
Date: Saturday, February 21, 2026
Time: 3:30 PM
Location: Christenberry Fieldhouse
The men's basketball game is begins at 3:30 PM. This is our Homecoming Game AND Senior Night! Come support our seniors & see the Homecoming King
and Queen crowning at half-time, as well as the 2026 Pass the Paw Competition Winners.

Court Application Process
Eligibility & Requirements for Candidates:
All candidates must meet ALL of the following criteria for eligibility:
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at AU
- Duke & Duchess candidates must be classified as a freshman or sophomore. King & Queen candidates must be classified as a junior or above.
- Must have at least a 2.8 Overall GPA
- Must be a student in good university standing with a clear disciplinary record.
