Each semester, the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs welcomes students back to campus by assisting with Housing move-in, Weeks of Welcome events, and other opportunities to serve, and meet their needs. These programs depend on faculty, staff, and student volunteers to help provide a seamless transition to Augusta University. We encourage each University department to please sign up to volunteer, either individually or as a group or department. We appreciate all you do to support our students!

Volunteers are essential for Leap Week, helping new students feel confident and excited about starting their academic journey. Whether it's guiding students through our tracks, answering questions, or simply lending a friendly ear, volunteers play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Their involvement is key to helping students forge connections, discover resources, and thrive here at Augusta University.
Freshman Convocation is the bookend to Senior Graduation. It is the ceremony that officially welcomes first year freshmen (this year, the Class of 2030), to the Augusta University Family.
At this event, students learn to appreciate our AU Traditions such as the annual Class Pinning ceremony, singing the Alma Mater, taking the Class Photo and Tossing the Penny into the Blanchard Fountain. After the ceremony, students are invited to have supper with their future professors and campus professionals.
