Opportunities to Volunteer

Each semester, the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs welcomes students back to campus with housing move-in, Weeks of Welcome events, and other opportunities to meet and serve our students. These programs depend on staff volunteers to keep them running smoothly—so please consider signing up.

We encourage each university department to sign up for a department event, and also ask faculty and staff members to sign up for at least one individual volunteer opportunity (like housing move-in). Whether you're representing your department or volunteering on an individual basis, we appreciate you!

Weeks of Welcome Opportunities

Camping Trip

September 17-19, 2021

Mistletoe State Park

Volunteers will be asked to help supervise as well as assist in camp activities. Camping equipment available for checkout upon request.




Backpacking Trip

October 6-9, 2021 (Fall pause)

Chattooga River Trail outside of Clayton, GA

This beginner-level trip will consist of 4 days of hiking covering 20 + miles along the Chattooga River. The chaperone /co-leader will support participants and manage risk while on the trail and in camp.

Volunteers should have previous camping/backpacking experience (preferred) and know basic CPR/First Aid.
