The Augusta University Police Department is headed by Chief James Lyon. The Administration Division ensures the Augusta University Police Department upholds the agency's Mission Statement and adheres to the standards of accreditation. The Administration Division oversees all of the Augusta University Police Department Divisions and ensures everyone is working in unison to better the safety and experiences of all students, staff, faculty and visitors while on the Augusta University campus.

ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL

The Augusta University Police Department aims to deliver the most efficient and effective services to the AU community by having a talented workforce that reflects the Agency’s core values of integrity, respect, professionalism and excellence. Captain Courtland Hooper oversees the hiring process and reviews all applications for the Augusta University Police Department. Captain Hooper also ensures special duty assignments are staffed by Augusta University Police Department officers for the various events that occur at Augusta University.
