Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia of Augusta University.
Our mission is to provide outstanding, compassionate care for patients with disorders
of the ear, nose, throat, head and neck, to lead innovations in treatments and surgical
technologies through research, and to cultivate the future leaders of Otolaryngology.
We are proud to offer complete coverage of all ENT subspecialties led by internationally
recognized physicians and educators. Our patients receive care in the areas of Hearing
and Balance Disorders including Cochlear Implantation, Vocal and Swallowing Disorders,
Nasal, Sinus and Skull Base Diseases, Thyroid-Parathyroid Disorders, Disorders of
the Head and Neck including Cancer, ENT Disorders in the pediatric population, Sleep
Disorders and Facial-Plastic and Reconstructive procedures. Our patients benefit from
a multidisciplinary approach to their problems as we are associated with an outstanding
Cancer Center and Head and Neck Tumor Board, and have created multiple patient centers.
The Augusta University Thyroid-Parathyroid Center, the Georgia Sinus Center and the
Georgia Skull Base Center, for example, are among the best in the southeastern United
States.
Collectively, we have published extensively in all areas of Otolaryngology and have
edited 13 books and the first Encyclopedia of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Our faculty are leaders in national scientific organizations and conferences, and
we are committed to staying abreast of and being involved in the development of new
cutting-edge technology. Several of our physicians are internationally recognized
in robotic and minimally invasive surgery and office based procedures. We are committed
to continuously pursuing excellence and educating medical students and the next generation
of otolaryngologists.
