Department of Ophthalmology
Welcome to the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta
University Health.
Our top priority is the provision of thorough and compassionate patient care. Within
our department you will find doctors who are interested in matching your concerns
with accurate diagnoses and treatments. We seek not only to provide the right treatment,
but also to educate you in regard to your condition so that you too may be involved
in its management.
Our educational mission is broadly focused. Upon completion of the 3 year course of
instruction our residents are able to enter comprehensive ophthalmic practice or pursue
fellowship training.
Through continuing medical education activities the local ophthalmic community as
well as our team of eye care providers are given opportunity to discuss and implement
recent advances in the medical and surgical care of the eye.
