Dr. McDonough was appointed Assistant Professor in 2012 at the Medical College of
Georgia at Augusta University. He graduated from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. McDonough received his post graduate education in Internal Medicine, and Pulmonary
Disease and Critical Care Medicine from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.
He is currently director of the pulmonary hypertension clinic and has a growing practice
in the treatment of this disease. Additionally, he is co-investigator in several current
trials for treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension.
Dr. McDonough has authored several scientific papers and has presented findings at
national and regional Conferences. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care
Medicine and the Southern Medical Association.
