Dr. Forseen was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine in Pulmonary/Critical Care
Medicine in 2005. She graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine
in Fargo (UNDSOM) where she also completed Internal Medicine residency training. She
then joined the faculty at UNDSOM as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. Thereafter
she completed her Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern.
In 2005, Dr. Forseen was recruited to the Augusta University faculty and was appointed
Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program. Currently she is the co-Director of
the Augusta University Cystic Fibrosis Center.
Dr. Forseen has been awarded 14 research and training grants over the past five years.
She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Thoracic Society,
American College of Chest Physicians, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Since
2011 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,
Georgia Chapter, and she received a Fundraising Innovator Award from the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation. At Augusta University, Dr. Forseen was awarded the Instructor of the Year
(2007), she has received an Exemplary Teacher Award for Resident Education.
