Internships are a great way to gain valuable knowledge and hands on experience with the opportunity to earn academic credit.

Internships are important in a student’s career development as it can help them gain insight on their career goals to help determine if this is the best career, develop a network of professional contacts for future opportunities and develop industry-specific skills to in order to build a strong resume.

All Bachelor of Business Administration students, with the exception of students majoring in Accounting, are required to complete an internship and the Undergraduate Internship Course (BUSA 4960) prior to graduation.

Students should be prepared to submit an internship for course credit, utilizing the process below, by midterm of the semester prior to beginning their internship to ensure they have time to complete the approval process.

The process can take up to 6 weeks (or longer) to complete depending on the complexity of the internship, project deliverables, evaluating academic components, and completing memorandum of understandings (MOUs) where needed.
