Taylor teaches all levels courses in the art history curriculum, including Marvel of Art, Introduction to Art History I & II, and upper-level classes focused on Modern, Contemporary, and New Media art.
Taylor specializes in contemporary art’s intersection with film and media studies. His writing explores light projection as a phenomenon that connects moving-image spectatorship with the expanded technologies of video art. Focusing on such artists as Jim Campbell, Douglas Gordon, and Janet Cardiff, he traces of the cinematic experience across media and within expansive multimedia installations.
