Bio

Dr. Sarbottam Bhagat is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. Dr. Bhagat holds a PhD in Information Systems from the University of North Texas. His research interests lie on social media, information disclosure and privacy, fake news, behavioral information security, and adoption/diffusion of emerging technologies. His work has been published in Information Systems Management and International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction. Additionally, his work has been accepted at highly regarded conference proceedings including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and The Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). Dr. Bhagat also holds an MBA from Washburn University School of Business and a BBA from Tribhuvan University (Nepal). He has also been inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors - an international honor society that recognizes the most outstanding students of business. His professional experiences span across operations, business development and consulting.

Besides scholarly activities, Dr. Bhagat has a keen interest in photography and enjoys traveling, hiking, and trekking.
