Research Interests
Dr. Colgrove's research spans bioethics, moral philosophy, and metaphysics. His work examines conceptual and terminological ambiguity in clinical and legal discourse and explores how clearer definitions can improve ethical practice and policymaking. He also investigates questions about ontology and personhood that pertain to emerging reproductive technologies, as well as the moral significance of virtue and character in healthcare, and the inclusion of diverse moral and religious perspectives in clinical ethics. His broader goal is to promote clarity, charity, and understanding across medicine, law, and moral philosophy.
